Read Grove Plan for 2020-21 and Join Thought Exchange

We wish you and your family well as we continue to plan for the 2020-2021 school year. The health and safety of Grove School students remains our top priority and we are currently weighing multiple attendance and distance learning models for the 2020-2021 school year guided by our commitment to our Five Outcomes for Grove Graduates and our Montessori mission.

These models include: –

• A hybrid (both distance and in-person) program where students are on campus 1 day a week and participate in distance learning 4 days a week, allowing for 6 ft distancing in the classroom. DRAFT Outline of Plan Linked Here
• A 100% distance learning program with in-person learning to provide direct academic support and experiential learning. DRAFT Outline of Plan Linked Here
• A 5 days-a-week in-person program as outlined in our charter.

These plans can be adjusted and combined as conditions and requirements change.

All students will have the opportunity to participate in a 100% distance learning program next year, even if in-person learning is offered.

All plans will begin with a one-week orientation starting August 24.

With the adoption of any of these plans, Grove students will have the ability to transition from in person learning to distance learning.

The learning-model decision will be made in cooperation with Redlands Unified, and it will be based on recommendations from local and state organizations and input from our school community.

All information collected will be shared with the Grove School Board, at a special meeting on July 20, where a presentation will be made on the possible learning models where you are invited to provide public comment. The agenda for that meeting, including a link to the Zoom meeting can be found at the bottom of our home page.
